Children's ministry

New Hope Christian Centre aims to provide a safe and fun environment where children can discover and explore their own spirituality and grow up hungry for God.

We strongly believe that children are not the 'church of tomorrow' but are an integral and important part of the 'church of today'.

We have a dedicated team who strongly believe that children can be taught the foundational bible truths early and will grow into the men and women God created them to be.

We reinforce the word of God by using a variety of methods including song, stories, crafts and games.

The children worship with their families as a valuable part of the congregation before their age appropriate teaching session.  Children will be given a take home sheet so that parents can follow up the teaching during the week.

Children's Groups during Sunday Services

All morning services have the following groups for children and young people. Everyone meets in the church for the beginning of the service and then the younger people leave for their groups after a time of worship.

Impact for the 5- 11 year olds

New Hope Kids

We run a Children's Group on Thursday evenings between 6.00pm and 7.30pm at New Hope Christian Centre. This is run by Clare and Duane Elkins in partnership with Share Lakenham Trust and Norwich Youth for Christ. The children's group is open to anyone but mainly reaches out to the children within the Lakenham area. We believe there is so much potential within the young people of Lakenham and we want to see God reach out to them so they can become all He has created them to be.

The club is open to anyone in years 1 to 6 and has a Christian theme running throughout all the activities. We offer craft, games, and cookery.  The theme this term is David and looks the life and time of a young shepherd boy who became King.
